This very futuristic living room features textured walls, delicate flower lighting, geometric tables and very shiny marble flooring.
It seems as if geometric shapes are what the future has for interior design. As seen at the sink, geometric shapes are used to indicate where one woul stand to use the faucet. The shapes are a form of guiding the occupant as well as being an interesting form of art.
Futuristic interiors are also marked by rhythmic symbols such as in the slats in the ceiling allowing light to enter the room. The chairs are also rhythmic.
Here, the room is very spacious and curved giving a sense of flowing in a direction much like waves in the ocean. By the looks of the outside, this room is most likely not far from the ocean which is probably the inspiration for the design.
A lot of design, I’ll admit, comes from nature. Here we can see some inspiration from a honey comb or bubbles of water. In addition to letting in the light, the design creates another design for itself on the floor.
Nature does play a large role in futuristic design because as we all know, the future is about being efficient. Ergonomic design has been borrowed from nature as in birds and whales. Here we see that style in the seating and the center table.
This bed is equipped with potentially every dashboard used the control the entire house, plus the television.
Geometric shapes are popping in again this time housing lighting, which is another main feature of futuristic design, where lighting appears to come from behind shapes and structures.
The world of futuristic design combines multiple layers. For instance, what appears in most houses as a shelf, actually is a design piece that is also a shelf and room divider.
This shows the ergonomic nature of futuristic design as influencing the occupants of the home to be organized. This may be a home or a bank of the future. Just wear a pair of rubber pants or a person may slide on those ergonomic chairs.
The future of design is awesome!
