Increases aerobic capacities

Playing tennis gets the body ready for jumping and running more than the body would normally do on a daily basis, therefore increasing aerobic capacity.

Lowering resting heart rate and blood pressure

The more inactive a person is, the higher these two factors become, but by increasing activity with tennis, these factors help the body become more calm on a daily basis.

Improves metabolic function

The more active a person is, the faster the metabolism will be to burn off fat, even as a person sleeps, the build muscle will contribute to a higher metabolic function.

Increasing bone density

Playing tennis increases muscle and that has a direct impact on bone density.

Lowers body fat

Any activity that increases muscle will burn fat especially while sleeping. The high energy required to play tennis will burn more fat. I think it also works with a treadmill, but as in Tennis, there is more running unless you run only on the treadmill.
