Tropical Sunrise Fitness Smoothie

A smoothie that is predominantly yellow will typically feature a combination of yellow-colored fruits and sometimes vegetables or spices. Here’s a popular and delicious example:

Tropical Sunshine Smoothie

This smoothie gets its vibrant yellow color and refreshing, sweet-tart flavor from classic tropical fruits.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen peach chunks: Peach is a primary contributor to both the yellow color and a creamy texture.
  • 1/2 – 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks: Pineapple adds a tangy sweetness and reinforces the yellow hue.
  • 1/2 banana: A banana adds creaminess and natural sweetness. If you want a brighter yellow, use a less ripe banana, or skip it entirely if you’re sensitive to its browning effect.
  • 1/2 cup coconut water or unsweetened almond milk: Provides the liquid base. Coconut water adds to the tropical flavor and provides electrolytes.
  • Optional:
    • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder: For an extra pop of yellow and a boost of anti-inflammatory benefits (use sparingly as it has a strong flavor).
    • Juice of 1/2 a lime: For a bright, zesty kick that enhances the tropical flavors.
    • A small handful of baby spinach: While green, in small amounts, it often gets overpowered by the yellow fruits and can add nutrients without affecting the color significantly.

Why it’s yellow:

The strong yellow pigments in mango and pineapple are the main reason this smoothie has its sunny color. Turmeric, if added, also contributes significantly to the yellow.

Super energetic fitness smoothie!
