The designer chose to preserve some of the design elements such as the two wooden chairs with red cushions. To recreate this room, I would relocate these two chairs, placing one near the entrance and in its place put the following sofa chair that blends well with the rest of the furniture. Placing a red pillow on each chair to balance this cozy area.

This kitchen is iconic Hollywood design. The rock wall and highly wooden kitchen give the sense of a snowy cabin in the mountains. To give this area an uplift, I would replace the hanging pots and pans with cluster lighting below. This lighting will illuminate this center countertop.
