Luxury Movie Room Design

This modern Beverly Hills home is fully equipped with a home theater. In this project, the designer has to know how light enhances a space and how sound works in the manner intended. To begin, this room uses dimmable lights and a neon light strip along the edges of the wall. Lighting is important in a theater like this one because of the stairs. In a commercial design, there are specific codes and safety guidelines but since this is just a home, the rules are more flexible. The designer decided to keep a soft theme with this design. Everything is cozy and plush in this room, from the sofas to the carpet and pillows. To re-create this room, it must function as a theater first, with sound panels on the walls and appropriate lighting, plus the wide screen home movie system.

At this angle, we can see the walls and how they are a dark color. This gives the illusion of a smaller more cozy atmosphere. The layered floor helps keep the movie into perspective. In this home theater, the designer chose sofas instead of individual seating chairs. This is the client choice. Before any design project, the designer must know what the client wants and how they like to watch movies. The designer also added more floor space for guests to join the movie by taking seating to the floor which also makes the event more cozy. The design is good especially with the popcorn stand in the corner. 

Nestled along the lush hillsides of Benedict Canyon on a generous lot, sits this newly constructed architectural tour de force. Assembled with the finest finishes and elegant attention to detail, this home offers intricate architecturally crafted and uniquely inspired amenities, while providing convenient access to the Valley and Westside. The modern stucco and metal exterior gives way to a warm interior filled with natural woods, imported stone and walls of glass that flood the space with natural light.
