This super epic movie theater design is super fun in this California home. Almost any room in the home can be converted into a super cool theater room. What we see here are a few basic elements that turns this room into entertainment. Below are a list of elements to transform a room into a theater.

The initial step in converting a basic room is the crown molding. Crown molding adds depth and detail as seen in the ceiling and walls.

The most essential of all movie rooms is the entertainment unit itself. In this case, its a sony movie projector specifically designed for the ceiling. Aesthetics is important that is why keeping the projector up and out of view is the best option. 

The next component important to any movie theater is the carpet. In this case, it is some aspect of stars on a dark blue background. As always a nice plush padding is to be added underneath the carpet.

Theater seating is designed to be soft, reclining with a small table and drink cups. 

The elements shown have complemented the room nicely. Lighting can be added for a subtle ambiance before the movie begins. This room displays lots of crown molding layering along with flat painted panels. In a larger room, more seating would be placed behind one another. As well as provide a larger area for snacks. Typically, the flat painted panels are for sound absorption to keep the room in stereo mode. To have a surround sound effect, a sound tech may evaluate the room for optimal performance of the movie entertainment room.
