Best Essentials for an Awesome Picnic
An ocean sunset is about the most awesome place to picnic. For starters, picnics are all about fun, food, and enjoying time together. These are the most essential items to bring on one of the most majestic picnics in the world.
Food
A fun picnic table should have a side of finger foods that include:
- Antipasto skewers, cherry tomatoes, crackers, olives, mini pizza squares, mini-sandwiches, pre-cut fruit, and veggies.
Veggies
- Mini Bell Pepper, Cucumber, Celery Sticks, Carrots, Olives, Corn
Fruits
- Strawberries are a must for extra romance.
- Grapes, Blueberries, Pears, Apples, Bananas
Crunchy Snacks
- Chips, Crackers, Pretzels, Peanuts
Main Course
- Potato, Pasta, Chicken Salads
- Salami, Chorizo, Hot Dogs
Wraps, Sandwiches, Rolls - Quiche, Pizza, Burgers
- Lasagna, Pies
Pizza is like the perfect food, you can put anything on it and your are all set! Yum!
Drinks
Fruit juice and water is the best option. Personally, I don’t drink alcohol, so I choose water with slices of fruit or fruit smoothies. They are really easy to make just add frozen fruits and kale in a blender then top with fresh fruits. It’s awesome.
Picnic Activities
So many options, from volleyball, water balloons to even building a cute sand castle. There are so many possibilities. Personally, if I’m near the ocean, the chances are I’ll get wet anyway so why not toss in some water balloon fun to make for a more spectacular picnic experience.
More Essentials
As always, a large blanket and a mini picnic table if desired. Plus, pillows and more pillows, that way everything stays super cozy. Also, you can add some candle lanterns for the more romantic vibe. Plates, napkins and utensils are especially important unless you are choosing the perfect pizza option that’s super awesome.
