European Estate in Bel Air

This room is using natural light to illuminate the interior focusing on the brown tones in this room. The light to dark shades of brown is a good use of color. To balance this room nicely, I would take the darkest brown in the room that is positioned precisely at the table with the lamp on it. Adding the same color tone drapes to the windows directly across from the lamp table balances this room. Envision these dark velvet drapes at the windows partially opened adding elegance and classic style.

There is natural organic form in this room. The designer focused on pieces that fit well with the elements outside. The chairs look like they grew outside and were harvested just for this room. The lighting looks like it was hanging from a tree at one point. To add a bit of rhythm to the room, there are the chairs but also the lighting I chose mimics the chairs. Its keeping that cone shape in the room. Many times, designers focus on a particular pattern, color or shape within the design of a room. In this room its a shape like the lighting, its cone shape. Every design tells a story it gives the project meaning that can be seen in the design sequence itself. This room connects with nature absolutely picture perfect for picnics.
