Beverly Hills Resort Design

The theater room in this Beverly Hills home has a theme that is centered around the night sky giving the occupants of this room the feeling that they are outside watching a movie. Giant murals of the city and a painted ceiling makes for a good ambiance. However, during the movie, the lights will be off. To re-design this room I would have instead placed multiple lights on the ceiling that rotated different colors of purple and blue instead of the painted clouds. Instead of the mural I would have placed and embossed wall of a city with dim lights. To re-create this room. I would add multiple petite flushmount lighting on the ceiling, to cover the entire area so that the lights shined like the stars. This adds depth, and can make the ceiling the focal point of this theater room.

GLASS PETITE FLUSHMOUNT

This room in the same home also has stars as a part of the design direction. The designer has chosen to fill this room with differently shaped furniture The furnishings in this room appear to have came from different homes then put in this room. The design looks as if it began with the rug which inspired the floral chair but then other pieces were added and now the room looks as if its a furniture store. To re-create this room, I would keep the rug and floral chair and add a half circle sofa in grey matching that part of the rug or burgundy.
