Living rooms are designed for family or for guests. Typically rooms closer to the swimming pool are family rooms and that’s most likely what this room is. The designer made sure that the furniture accommodated only a set number of people based on the seating available. That’s most likely a family room that’s very special. The colors in this room are directly inspired by the painting on the wall. Pillows are grey, curtain rod is black, coffee table is muted brown, seating is light grey. This family room is meant for casual discussion and bonding with a fun view of the pool area. For this room, I chose the following seating arrangement. It keeps the participants in their own seat but at the same time keeps everyone focused on the conversation. It has muted colors that are inspired by the painting itself. When designing a room, all furnishings can be customized. A designer has the proper resources to modify the fabric and details of the design. The below seating pillow texture can be modified as well.
Living rooms with outside views give the environment a more cozy feel. From this angle there is a soft plush sofa that accommodates more people. The designer made sure to keep the inspiration colors of the painting inside this room, while the pool area takes on a whole new color pattern. One way to connect the two places is to bring in some natural element and place it somewhere in the room. This home is designed with a sprinkle of country design that can be seen in the style of furniture. To keep with the theme the client prefers, I would choose this floating coffee table that maintains the shape of the outdoor coffee table and the shape of the pool. The color of the coffee table may have to be changed to more closely match the color tone of the design.
