Pizza Ice Cream Picnic
Super yummy pizza is even more sweet when its made with ice cream. A super crispy crust with an ice cream candy topping. Each ice cream pizza can be made differently, so this recipe is for the cover photo pizza. Technically, its a pizza because there are so many ingredients on top of a crispy crust. Here is the juicy recipe.
COOKIE
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup Butter, softened
1 Large Egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup uncooked quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
ICE CREAM
1 quart vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
HOT FUDGE SAUCE
1/2 cup Butter
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
TOPPING
Candy-coated chocolate pieces, coarsely chopped chocolate sandwich cookies, decorator sprinkles and/or peanuts, as desired
- STEP 1 – Heat oven to 375°F.
- STEP 2 – Combine brown sugar, butter, egg and vanilla in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add flour, oats, baking soda and salt; beat at low speed until well mixed.
- STEP 3 – Spread dough evenly into ungreased pizza pan. Bake 10-12 minutes or until brown. Cool completely.
- STEP 4 – Spread ice cream evenly on cooled cookie. Freeze two hours or until firm.
- STEP 5 – Combine all hot fudge sauce ingredients in two-quart nonstick saucepan. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, five minutes or until butter and chips are melted and sauce is smooth. Remove from heat; cool slightly.
- STEP 6 – Cut cookie pizza into wedges. Drizzle hot fudge sauce on each serving; sprinkle with desired toppings.
- Picnic ready!
