Epic Ferrari Super Yacht Concept
The super cool Gran Turismo Mediterranea concept features space for a Ferrari car for land-based adventures in Cali. Inside is a racing-inspired cockpit as well as pilot seats and gullwing doors. And unlike other yachts, it has aerodynamic wings which lets it glide on the waves at speeds of around seventy knots, working to 80mph.
Lazzarini Studios say the eye-catching vessel has been designed by taking inspiration from Maranello’s latest hypercars and have named it a ‘hyperyacht’.
Like a Ferrari, the GTM is also fitted with its own version of aerodynamic wings, known as foils, that lift the hull up and out of the water when traveling at speed. As such, the yacht will fly on the waves with less drag and more speed than a traditional planing yacht. The studio has given the GTM an estimated top speed of 70 knots.
The Ferrari Yacht concept is inspired by the iconic Ferrari colors. The automotive cues continue onboard. Accessible via gullwing doors, the cabin features a racing-inspired cockpit that comes complete with pilot seats and gauges, as well as a main saloon, two double guest cabins and accommodation for three crew. There is also a sizable spoiler to the stern.
The hull is finished in what looks like a riff on Ferrari’s recognizable Rosso Corsa red, while the superstructure is crafted from light carbon fiber that is also favored by the automaker. It’s even got a cheeky Ferrari badge on the front, though it’s not an official design.
The real highlight, though, is the folding transom on the aft deck. It can be used as either a sundeck or supercar garage for the Ferrari. The platform can lift upwards and outwards while the boat is docked, allowing to drive the Ferrari supercar onto dry land at the push of a button. Super cool for Cali picnics.
